  • What is a specialty medicine?

It is a medicine used for rare or serious health problems. You might take it by mouth, injection, inhaler or IV. Some specialty medicines need to be stored in a special way or used with extra care.

  • Why do I need this service?

These medicines can be expensive and hard to get. You might need help learning how to use them or paying for them. Our team helps make sure the medicine works for you.

  • How much will it cost?

The cost depends on your insurance. We help you apply for financial aid and tell you the cost once your insurance approves it. We also offer financial counseling if needed.

  • Can Eskenazi Health Pharmacy get all specialty medicines?

We can get most specialty medications. If we cannot, we will send your prescription to a pharmacy that can.
