Patients, employees' families invited to special event - Eskenazi Health

Eskenazi Health Pharmacy will be hosting a Flu Shot and Medication Take-Back event on Friday, Dec. 12, from noon – 8 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Eskenazi Health Pharmacy, located on the first floor of the Eskenazi Health Outpatient Care Center.

Eskenazi Health Pharmacy staff will administer the flu vaccine to patients and employees’ families. Participants must be 11 years old and older. There is no need to make an appointment. You can also help Eskenazi Health make homes safer by giving back unused/unneeded medications.

Items that can be returned include:

  • Tablets, capsules, aerosols and liquid medications
  • Medicine in its original container with the original label intact
  • Only one type of medication per single container and no mixtures

Items that cannot be returned include:

  • Pill organizers
  • Controlled or illegal substances (check with your pharmacist if you are unsure whether a medicine is controlled)
  • Biohazardous waste
  • Non-medication waste
