facebook Exercise of the Month: Chair Squats

This exercise is part of the Senior Fitness Test and will strengthen your abs, hips and glutes.

  1. Stand in front of your chair with your feet hip-width apart and your arms straight out in front of you.

  2. Tighten your abdominal muscles and slowly sit down on the chair. 

  3. Stand up and repeat 10 times.

  4. To make it more challenging, try this exercise with your arms crossed and your hands on your shoulders.

  5. Repeat 10 times
