Eskenazi Health Center Welcomes All to Community Day Health Fairs

Eskenazi Health Center welcomes the Indianapolis community to the upcoming Eskenazi Health Community Day Health Fairs. Offerings will include free blood pressure and vision screenings, health information, games, prizes and giveaways. Radio One and WISHTV 8 will be partnering on the event and will broadcast live during both health fairs.

The two health fairs will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following days:

Saturday, Aug. 2
Eskenazi Health Center West 38th Street
5515 W. 38th St.

Saturday, Aug. 16
Eskenazi Health Thomas & Arlene Grande Campus
6002 E. 38th St.

In 2023, over 31 million people were served nationwide by a federally qualified health center. According to the National Association of Community Health Centers, 1 in 10 people are patients of health centers across the nation. Eskenazi Health Center provides over a dozen health centers conveniently located across Central Indiana neighborhoods.

“It is vital to exemplify the important role our health centers play in our communities across Indianapolis, we dedicate ourselves to serving these communities in order to improve the well-being and health of our neighbors,” said Dawn Haut, M.D., CEO of Eskenazi Health Center. “Both health fairs are perfect for the whole family to take advantage, just in time for back-to-school season.”

Every August, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) sponsors National Health Center Week to celebrate and increase awareness of America’s 1,500 Community Health Centers In conjunction with National Health Center Week, Eskenazi Health will be hosting the first health fair at the Eskenazi Health Thomas & Arlene Grande Campus. The new eastside campus opened in April 2024 and has served over 25,000 patients since opening.

Eskenazi Health Center locations offer a variety of services that include OB/GYN, mental health, primary care (pediatric, adolescent and adult), a pharmacy, diabetes education, nutrition consultation and support, and women, infants and children services provided by the Marion County Public Health Department. The Marion County Public Health Department will have free vaccines for those who qualify at the Eskenazi Health Thomas & Arlene Grande Campus.
