Sandra
Eskenazi Mental Health Center invites mental health professionals to attend our
virtual educational speaker series. This webinar is scheduled for Thursday,
July 9 from 4 - 5 p.m.
“Asset-based Human Development – What it Takes to Become a Stable Adult”
will feature Tim Streett, chief learning officer with Shepherd Community
Center, and principal instructor of Poverty 101.
Streett
has spent almost four decades living and working in marginalized communities,
helping children and families gain stability and break the cycle of poverty at
places like Circle Urban Ministries in Chicago and Shepherd Community in
Indianapolis. In this presentation, Streett will share about the 10-asset model
of intervention employed at Shepherd Community Center and many other
organizations, which is primarily about helping families experience upward
stability through increasing agency with certain non-monetary assets that the
middle class relies upon every day.
Interested participants can register using the registration page. You will receive a
Webex invite via email to access the event. Please note, if you have attended a
Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Speaker Series event in the past, you do
not need to re-register. You will receive an invite to the upcoming session.
Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center’s monthly speaker series is free to
attend. Eligible participants (LMHC, LMFT and LCSW) have the opportunity to
earn CEUs by attending the presentation.
