Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center invites mental health professionals to attend the next virtual educational speaker series on Thursday, Thursday, Oct. 8 from 4 – 5 p.m. Danyette Smith, associate vice president of the Indy Public Safety Foundation, will present, “Silent No More: Understanding Domestic Violence, Breaking the Silence and Empowering Change.”
Domestic violence is more than a private issue. It is a community health and safety issue that can leave lasting physical, emotional and psychological impacts. In this presentation, Smith will lead a trauma-informed conversation exploring the dynamics of domestic violence, warning signs, the impact of trauma, barriers to speaking out and the role we all play in prevention. Through education, awareness and survivor-centered conversation, we will challenge misconceptions and empower our community to recognize, respond and take action.

Webex invite via email to access the event. Please note, if you have attended a
Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Speaker Series event in the past, you do
not need to re-register. You will receive an invite to the upcoming session.
Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center’s monthly speaker series is free to
attend. Eligible participants (LMHC, LMFT and LCSW) have the opportunity to
earn CEUs by attending the presentation.
