Resources for Gender Health Patients

The Eskenazi Health Gender Health Program, located on the fifth floor of the Sandra Eskenazi Outpatient Care Center, provides primary care and specialty services for adult transgender patients of all gender identities. The first of its kind in Indiana, the program combines primary care and other comprehensive services with surgical options.

More information can be found on the Gender Health Program’s page. To request an appointment, please call 317.880.6042

Senate Enrolled Act 480, which went into effect on Feb. 27, 2024, prohibits physicians and other practitioners from providing gender transition procedures to individuals younger than age 18. These procedures include the use of puberty-blocking drugs, hormone therapy and gender reassignment surgery. Eskenazi Health has not historically provided gender health services to minors.

The Eskenazi Health Gender Health Program provides primary care and specialty services for adult transgender patients of all gender identities and includes many skilled team members trained in the WPATH standards of care. From medical providers to nurses and caring support staff, all are dedicated to serving the transgender community with excellence.
