Eskenazi Health Human Resources using cutting-edge technology in Recruiting Top Candidates

Did you know Indiana’s unemployment rate is lower than the national average? In such a competitive job market, organizations are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to decrease the time it takes to interview and hire new team members.

Organizations can easily miss out on hiring the best candidates if the interview process takes too long, as candidates can swiftly be hired by another organization in the interim. To combat this, Eskenazi Health Human Resources and talent acquisition teams utilize several cutting-edge tools to expedite the recruitment and interviewing process to attract and hire these talented individuals.

The first of these tools is the software platform Canvas, a text-based recruiting and interviewing tool. Launched at Eskenazi Health in 2018, it allows candidates to learn more about Eskenazi Health and answer initial interview questions for new opportunities on their own time, directly with an Eskenazi Health talent acquisition consultant.  This streamlines the interview process for both the talent acquisition consultant and candidate to ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience.

Another innovative tool that the talent acquisition team uses is a video interviewing platform called Montage. Montage allows the talent acquisition consultant to engage and expedite the initial interview process with candidates, through conducting one way video interviews.  This is a great tool for candidates as they can complete the interview in a comfortable space and at a convenient time.

Additionally, as of April 2019, candidates and the human resources team benefit from the implementation of Success Factors, a digital platform that houses recruitment and employee data. This platform is used to welcome new employees to Eskenazi Health as well as assist current employees with trainings, benefits and work information. Centralizing this data into one source enables the human resources team and all employees to easily access needed information.

The implementation of these new tools is just one of the many ways Eskenazi Health strives to be a great place to work. Our team is constantly searching for new and innovative tools to ensure an outstanding candidate experience. Eskenazi Health’s success in this area has been recognized by being named as one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare” for the last three consecutive years. The list recognizes organizations committed to fulfilling missions, creating outstanding cultures and offering competitive benefits to their employees. Eskenazi Health is proud of its workforce and the care provided to its patients.
