Dr. Gregory Singleton Named Chief Medical Officer for Eskenazi Health Midtown Community Mental Health

Indianapolis, Jan. 19, 2018 - Dr. Gregory M. Singleton has been promoted to chief medical officer for Eskenazi Health Midtown Community Mental Health. Dr. Singleton is a psychiatrist and most recently served as the Eskenazi Health Midtown assistant medical director since January 2017 and interim medical director since September 2017.

“The CMO role is new to Eskenazi Health Midtown and will replace the previous medical director role,” said Dr. Ashley Overley, Eskenazi Health Midtown CEO. “The CMO role will have a greater emphasis on physician engagement and management of quality improvement initiatives.”

Dr. Singleton has previously served as the Eskenazi Health Midtown physician area chief for acute care services and staff psychiatrist in the Kathi & Bob Postlethwait Mental Health Recovery Center and Eskenazi Health Midtown triage areas.
 
He has served on many committees at Eskenazi Health, including the Medical Executive Committee, the Clinical Staff Oversight Committee, the Medical Staff Oversight Committee and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, as well as the State of Indiana Medicaid Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

Dr. Singleton completed medical school and residency with the Indiana University School of Medicine.
