Center of Hope


The Eskenazi Health Center of Hope is dedicated to caring for victims of sexual assault and family violence. The Center of Hope was created by Eskenazi Health in collaboration with the Marion County Prosecutor's Office in 1996 and continues to work closely with the Marion County Prosecutor's Office, local law enforcement and victims assistance agencies to provide care to victims of sexual assault and family violence around the Indianapolis area. The Center of Hope does not discriminate based on gender, race, religion, origin, sexual orientation or disability. The Center of Hope also is in contact with local law enforcement, and all statements and protective orders can be done on site. Patients do not have to leave the confines of Eskenazi Health.

  • Up to 120 hours of forensic evidence collection

  • Crisis intervention services
  • Follow-up medical care
  • Counseling services
  • Safety planning
  • Referrals for support groups

Alongside caring for victims, the Center of Hope also offers a class for nurses to become sexual assault examiners. The class meets International Association of Forensic Nurses standards. Contact the Center of Hope for more details.
