The Jewish Community Center (JCC) in partnership with Eskenazi Health will be hosting a Women’s Health Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 14. The event will include numerous free and vital health screenings for the benefit of all women in Central Indiana. There will also be a limited number of free flu shots for those who attend. The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Eskenazi Health providers and staff, along with staff from the JCC and the National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health will be available to answer questions and provide health screenings and demonstrations. The Arthur M. Glick JCC is located at 6701 Hoover Road in Indianapolis. Free parking is available on site.
Health screenings and demonstrations will cover such topics as flu shots, blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol, BMI, skin cancer, mental health, women’s health, massages, first aid and more.
Speakers:
9 a.m. - Martha Hoover, restaurant owner and founder of The Patachou Foundation, will discuss maintaining work-life balance.
6 p.m. - Dr. Theresa Rohr-Kirchgraber, a physician with the Eskenazi Health Outpatient Care Center-Primary Care and the Eskenazi Center of Excellence for Women’s Health, will discuss avoiding “Superwoman Syndrome" (the importance of self-care).
