The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma is leading the effort to save lives by teaching people how to stop uncontrolled bleeding in emergency situations.
In emergencies, patients are not always able to receive immediate care from a medical provider. This course helps train participants in what to do before medical help arrives. In this highly interactive course participants learn how to recognize uncontrolled bleeding and how to intervene. They also practice the skills they learn.
The free, one-hour course is being offered in the Rapp Family Conference Center at Eskenazi Health, 720 Eskenazi Ave.
