The Marianne Tobias Music Program at Eskenazi Health is excited to partner with the American Pianists Association for their 2024-2025 competition season.
The American Pianists Association nurtures the artistic growth of America's top young pianists by focusing on creative expression and career development. Their largest and most prestigious support is given through a biennial competition known as the American Piano Awards. Since its founding in 1979, the American Pianists Association has supported 48 winners.
This year’s classical piano competition will feature five finalists, all of whom will give solo performances at Eskenazi Health throughout the 2024-2025 competition cycle. The third finalist performance will feature Michael Davidman on Wednesday, December 4, at 12 p.m. in the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation Concourse.
A dedicated and disciplined young musician, Michael Davidman has gone on to win numerous piano competitions, including the 2022 Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition, third place and Orchestra prize, 2021 American Piano Awards finalist, winner 2019 Juilliard Gina Bachauer Competition, to mention a few. Davidman also received a four-year scholarship from the Chopin Foundation of the United States. As soloist, he has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestre Symponique de la Garde Republicaine, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Freixenet Encuentro Symphony Orchestra, Symphonicity, Monterey Symphony and Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra to mention a few.
This concert will be broadcast live and viewable from all televisions on the Eskenazi Health downtown campus, including patient rooms, on channel 17.
