e-Visits- Patients - Eskenazi

Although seeing your primary care provider is always best, an e-Visit on Eskenazi Health MyChart can be more convenient at times, including:

  • You’ve been seen for this condition before (but not within the past week).
  • It’s at night.
  • It’s on a weekend or holiday.
  • You don’t feel like going out – or taking your child out. 
  • You don’t have transportation.
  • It will be a while before your provider has an available appointment. 

Eskenazi Health providers strive to respond to your e-Visit request within 24 hours of the next business day.

Common conditions currently available for e-Visits:

  • Sinus issues (congestion, ear pain, sneezing)
  • Sore throat
  • Cough
  • Eye redness or irritation
  • Diarrhea
  • Heartburn
  • Back pain 
  • Pain when urinating
  • Vaginal discharge

You must be an established Eskenazi Health patient and an Eskenazi Health MyChart user.

How an e-Visit works

1. Sign in to your Eskenazi Health MyChart account.
2. Click the messages tab and select "Ask a Question."
3. Select "System-Specific e-Visit" on the right.
4. Read the instructions and determine if an e-Visit is right for you. (E-Visits are NOT appropriate for medical emergencies or if you have been seen by your provider within the past seven days for the same condition.)
5. Agree to the terms.
6. Enter your credit card number. (Cost of an e-Visit is $5 through March 9, 2018.)
7. Select from a list of symptoms.
8. Answer a series of online questions about your symptoms, then submit your e-Visit information.
9. An Eskenazi Health provider will send his or her treatment recommendations via Eskenazi Health MyChart or possibly by telephone.
