Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
The ACT Teams provide community-based services to clients 18 and older who are diagnosed with a psychotic or mood disorder. Psychiatrists, nurses, therapists and case managers work together to provide the most helpful and effective care to clients. To do this, teams operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. ACT is designed to support clients who have not benefited from more traditional services and are frequent users of emergency, inpatient, state hospital and legal services. ACT is an evidenced based treatment and teams are certified through the Division of Mental Health and Addiction.
