What does Eskenazi Health Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) have planned?

  • Members of the Eskenazi Health Medical-Legal Partnership and the Indiana Health Advocacy Coalition will be attending and participating in the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership Annual Summit in Seattle, Wash. on April 10-11.
  • Free Advance Care Planning Legal Aid Clinic for Eskenazi Health patients on April 29 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Faegre Baker Daniels Conference Room located on the first floor of the Eskenazi Health Outpatient Care Center. Spanish interpretation services will be available. Lawyers from Faegre Baker Daniels and Eli Lilly and Company will be on site and may be able to help Eskenazi Health patients with:
    • Drafting a will, which allows patients to plan for their children

    • Appointing a financial power of attorney

    • Appointing a health care power of attorney and a health care representative

    • Creating a living will

  • Indiana Health Advocacy Coalition and The Center for At-Risk Elders presents a free presentation on "The Guardianship Process is Complete .. Now What? & The Nuts and Bolts of a Special Needs Trust." The target audience is attorneys, doctors, nurses, social workers, and other caregivers who work with children/young adults with chronic conditions, illnesses, or disabilities, or with elderly patients who have or need a guardian.
