Liz Farfan, AFAA

Liz 2012Liz Farfan is the wellness coach at Eskenazi Health Centers Westside and Pecar. She joined Healthy Me and Eskenazi Health in 2006. As a coach, her passion is to empower people to become who they really are. Liz is certified as a group fitness instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). She has over 12 years of experience in a clinical setting and has enjoyed helping the community become healthier!

ChrissyChrissy Brack, B.A., AFAA

Chrissy Brack joined the Healthy Me team in July 2012. Chrissy has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Wheaton College and a fitness certification from AFAA. She has volunteered as a health educator and as a medical interpreter in Mexico, Cuba, and Guatemala. She has a strong passion for living well through fitness and nutrition. She loves to see how each small change can empower an individual not only to lose weight but to enjoy their lives in a new way. Chrissy is the coach at Eskenazi Health Center North Arlington.

Chrissy's health tips:

  • Start small!! Rome was not built in one day. Set reasonable goals and work hard on achieving those. Celebrate those successes.
  • Exercise is a great way to boost energy, confidence, and to lift your spirits. Take advantage of a beautiful day to walk, a local fitness class, or find a workout DVD that you love.

Nancy MNancy Morales, MPH

 

Nancy Morales joined the Healthy Me team in October 2013. Nancy has a Masters in Public Health from Indiana University, Bloomington. She is fluent in Spanish. She has been in Indiana for 3 1/2 years and previously lived in Southern California where she worked and volunteered with the American Cancer Society in health education and community outreach. In this new position, Nancy has enjoyed meeting patients and helping with their weight loss goals.

 
Nancy's health tips:
  • Small goals are the way to go!
  • Exercise what you enjoy doing, such as running, walking, dancing, etc..
  • Moderation and small portions are the key.
  • Support group is a good way to meet people and exercise for 30 minutes.

shamekaShameka Bell, AFAA

Shameka Bell is the Wellness Coach at Eskenazi Health Center Sites Blackburn and Forest Manor. Shameka joined Eskenazi Health and Healthy Me in 2013. She has several years of experience working in the community, advocating for healthy lifestyles and activity. Shameka has gained certifications from AFAA and the YMCA of the USA in group exercise and strength conditioning. Her passion is to fight childhood obesity and educate families on healthy eating.

  • Diets are temporary, Lifestyles are forever.
  • What we do Today determines where we want to be Tomorrow.
  • Being Healthy is not always being the right size, but making the right choices.

Lisa 2012

Lisa Pastotnik, M.S., ACSM-HFI, CPT

Lisa Pastotnik is the program manager for Healthy Me. She graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a master's degree in health promotion. She has also been a certified health fitness specialist and certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine, and has 17 years of professional experience in health and fitness. In addition, Lisa supports the Eskenazi Health main campus employees in their efforts to achieve healthier lifestyles. She joined Eskenazi Health and Healthy Me in 2006.
