Fiddle ‘n’ Feet to Perform at Eskenazi Health on April 18

Free concert part of Marianne Tobias Music Program at Eskenazi Health

Indianapolis, March 14, 2017 – Music and dance ensemble Fiddle ‘n’ Feet will perform a concert on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital at 720 Eskenazi Ave. The free concert will begin at noon and be held in the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation Concourse on the first floor of the Outpatient Care Center.

Fiddle 'n' Feet are comprised of Jamie Gans on fiddle and Tamara Loewenthal on feet. They present an array of percussive dance steps and traditional music from North America and the Celtic countries. Songs range from Old Time Appalachian to Irish to French Canadian. 

In addition to the fiddle, Gans also plays the mandolin, banjo, guitar and jaw harp as Lowenthal performs a variety of step dance styles from American clogging to English wooden shoe clogging, to French Canadian reels and waltzes. For more information visit: https://www.fiddlenfeet.com/

This performance is presented through a partnership with the Lotus World Music and Arts Festival. The festival celebrates the diversity, beauty and joy of music and arts from cultures around the world.

This free concert is part of the Marianne Tobias Music Program at Eskenazi Health, which brings music to the patients, visitors and staff at Eskenazi Health. Tobias helped to establish the program, including donating a concert grand piano that resides in the main concourse of the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital.
