Supportive Services for Veteran Families

Eskenazi Health stands by our veterans and wants to make sure no one falls through the cracks in support services. Eskenazi Health Midtown Community Mental Health has partnered with InteCare to offer Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), a program to provide housing stability to very low-income veterans and their families.

SSVF provides outreach, case management and peer support to low-income veterans and their families. More specifically, the program helps clients with financial planning as well as temporary financial support to stabilize their housing situations, and it connect clients to other community services as well. In addition, SSVF provides transportation to appointments and child care services for veterans and their families while they seek adequate housing.

Eligible participants include veterans with anything but a dishonorable discharge and family members in which the head of household (or spouse) is a veteran. Clients can have annual incomes no larger than 50 percent of Marion County’s median incomes, and they must be homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless.

InteCare is a nonprofit organization specializing in behavioral health care management. The SSVF program employs veterans and serves hundreds of veteran households in 10 Indiana counties.

This program is available at 1650 N. College Ave.
