The Eskenazi Health Critical Care Recovery Center (CCRC) is a program that assists with a patient’s recovery after a stay in the intensive care unit. It helps patients with any physical, emotional and/or cognitive problems (thinking/memory) they may experience during recovery. The team consists of a pulmonary/critical care specialist, nurse practitioner, social worker, critical care pharmacist and medical assistant to meet all of a patient’s needs.

The program is designed to supplement, not replace, treatment from a patient’s primary care provider. Eskenazi Health CCRC team members communicate with the primary care provider to ensure that treatment is in accordance with a patient’s medical history and that needs continue to be met once treatment with the center is complete.

Patients must be 18 years or older, with typical treatment at the center lasting six to 12 months. The CCRC is located on the sixth floor of the Eskenazi Health Outpatient Care Center.

For more information or to make an appointment, please contact the CCRC at 317.880.6600. Health care providers can fax referrals to 317.880.0333.
