The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma is leading the effort to save lives by teaching the civilian population to provide vital initial response to stop uncontrolled bleeding in emergency situations.
In emergencies, patients are not always able to receive immediate care from a medical provider. This course will help train participants in what to do before medical help arrives. In this highly interactive course you will learn how to recognize uncontrolled bleeding and how to intervene. You will be able to practice the skills that you learn so that you can be prepared to help if the need arises.
The course is being offered in the Rapp Family Conference Center at Eskenazi Health, 720 Eskenazi Ave., on the following days:
- Tuesday, April 10, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 18, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 25, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, April 28, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
