On Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., the Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper, in partnership with Eskenazi Health, will host the Community Health and Wellness Fair. This event will be held at Ivy Tech Community College in the IFC (Indy Fall Creek) building, located on 50 W. Fall Creek Parkway North.
This fair will feature dozens of health vendors, free health screenings, patient financials counselling, multiple interactive fitness demonstrations, healthy food options and a panel discussion about personal and sexual health led by Eskenazi Health.
The Community Health and Wellness Fair presents an opportunity for students and community members alike to be educated on ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Attendees are encouraged to participate in free fitness demonstrations like yoga, Zumba or CrossFit over the noon hour. Attendees will also have a chance to interact with health professionals.
The panel discussion, comprised of doctors and health experts from Eskenazi Health, will address demographic specific health disparities relative to sexual health, obesity, diet, exercise and more. The panel discussion will end with an audience Q&A session
