Eskenazi Health Center Opens First Mobile Clinic with “SNEAK PREVIEW”
Eskenazi Health Center Mobile Clinic brings health care directly to Indianapolis neighborhoods

, September 9, 2013 -- Eskenazi Health Center will provide a sneak preview of a state-of-the-art mobile health clinic with a series of free community events this week consisting of blood pressure and glucose screenings. The Eskenazi Health Center Mobile Clinic will begin its regular route as the first traveling primary care clinic for the Indianapolis health system on Sept. 17. The Eskenazi Health Center Mobile Clinic will primarily service three public housing communities. It will see patients at Laurelwood Apartments, Lugar Towers and Indiana Avenue.
The opening of the Eskenazi Health Center Mobile Clinic will be celebrated with a series of free community events consisting of blood pressure and glucose screenings at its base locations. Upcoming events include:
- Lugar Tower, 911 Fort Wayne Ave., on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 1 – 4 p.m.
- Indiana Avenue, 825 Indiana Ave., on Friday, Sept. 13, from 1 – 4 p.m.
- Laurelwood Apartments, 3340 Teakwood Dr., on Monday, Sept. 16, from 1 – 4 p.m.
Eskenazi Health Center is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) that was formerly the division of primary care at Wishard-Eskenazi Health. It operates 10 separate health care sites located throughout Indianapolis.
