Fathers and Families Center Hosts Symposium for Dads of Children with Special Needs

Fathers and Families Center will conduct its first symposium with this year’s topic being fathers of children with special needs. The event will bring together national speakers, including Robert Naseef, a specialist of children with special needs.
The event is being titled Fathers of Children with Special Needs: A Call, A Conversation, A Celebration 2013, and will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at Ivy Tech Community College’s Corporate College and Culinary Center, 2820 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration is $15 and will include a continental breakfast and lunch. Registration ends Monday, Nov. 11.

Fathers and Families Center is celebrating its 20th year serving fathers in Marion County. The center is a 501(c)(3) agency aimed at enhancing the capacity of young fathers to become responsible and involved parents, wage earners, and providers of child support.
