Free Flu Shots Spark Community Interest in Fall Health Fair
Health fair offers flu shots, screenings and medical advice from health care professionals

, October 16, 2012 -- As the seasons change and the winter season approaches, it is important to maintain regular health screenings. On Saturday, November 3, Cottage Corner Health Center
, the Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police and community organizations will partner to present the 17th annual Harvest of Health. A comprehensive team of health care professionals will be on hand to answer questions and administer free health screenings and flu shots for children ages nine to 17 and adults of all ages.
Harvest of Health will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cottage Corner Health Center
, 1434 South Shelby Street in Indianapolis. Health screenings provided at no cost include blood pressure, oral health and depression. There will also be information about health insurance programs and community resources. Parking and activities will also be available compliments of the Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police located across the street from Cottage Corner
. Healthy Snacks will be provided by the Wishard Food and Nutrition Department, Teamsters Local 135 and the FOP.
"Harvest of Health offers an opportunity for the entire community to receive free health screenings and obtain helpful advice from medical experts," said Dr. Mark Tiritilli, medical director, Cottage Corner Health Center

Cottage Corner Health Center
provides health care services for the community in the areas of family planning, social services, primary care, mental health and dental services. The center is one of 10 Wishard Health Services community health centers located throughout Indianapolis.
